Job Details: Washington, D.C. Bakery institution, BAKED&WIRED is seeking an experienced, creative, systems and people-oriented MANAGING BAKER. About BAKED&WIRED: Baked&Wired opened in Georgetown in 2001 and has been listed as Best Bakery by Travel + Leisure, Thrillist, Washingtonian, and the Washington Post. We specialize in homey American baked goods ranging from cupcakes, cakes, pies, brownies, cookies, and bars. Our commissary kitchen is located in Tysons Corner, VA, right off the Spring Hill exit on 66 and a few blocks from the Silver Line. Free parking is also available. Job Description: We are looking for a hands-on managing baker who is extremely personable and self-motivated and has experience baking in high-volume commercial kitchens, leading a team and maintaining organizational systems. Responsibilities include: Baking and producing on shift. Setting pars, managing inventories and placing orders. Lead a shift of bakers: distribute tasks, manage productivity, and oversee quality of products. Organize and compile daily baking lists. Qualified candidates should have: Must have at least 2 years of commercial baking experience Must also have at least 2 years of managing staff. Extreme attention to detail and exceptional work ethic - Must be able to manage the entire operations as well as the ability to organize, prioritize, and successfully follow through on multiple tasks. Not afraid of hard work and have stamina to do the job. Strong leadership, self-motivated, organizational and communication skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
