Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Develop and follow personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide long-term care and support in home community settings, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Cook nutritious meals that meet dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
- Provide hospice care when necessary, offering emotional support to clients and their families during challenging times.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting clients safely when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary requirements for various health conditions.
- Familiarity with care plans and patient monitoring practices is advantageous.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility challenges.
- Understanding of hospice care principles is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving are essential.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
