Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans as outlined by healthcare providers, ensuring all tasks are completed effectively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client's living space
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments
- Administer basic first aid or CPR when necessary, following safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in home community care or caregiving is preferred
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary considerations
- Ability to observe patients closely and report any significant changes in health status
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual client needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Certification in CPR is a plus but not mandatory
