Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, reporting any changes in health status.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities or appointments.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing, social work, or home care is preferred.
- Familiarity with first aid practices and basic medical procedures is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment for client safety and comfort.
- Knowledge of vital sign monitoring techniques is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided as necessary.
