Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Implement behavior management strategies for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members regarding client needs and progress.
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of systems related to patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Ability to assist with personal care tasks while respecting client dignity and privacy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
