Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, including those with autism and developmental disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and attention.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques for heavy lifting.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while documenting care provided.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the safety of all clients.
- Engage clients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function and promote social interaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Strong observational skills to monitor client needs effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
