Lead Caregiver (Chattanooga Area)

Job Purpose:

The Chattanooga Lead Caregiver provides critical coverage for clients in the event of a caregiver call-out. They are responsible for ensuring the continuity of care by stepping in to support clients across the greater Chattanooga area, as assigned by the Staffing Coordinator. This role is pivotal in maintaining high-quality care when regularly scheduled caregivers are unavailable.

Reports to: Staffing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to clients, following the established care plan for each individual.
• Travel to various client locations as directed by the Staffing Coordinator.
• Ensure all caregiving tasks, such as personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and mobility support, are completed according to each client's needs.
• Communicate any changes in client condition to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain detailed records of care provided during each shift.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state regulations regarding caregiving.
• Be available during assigned hours to cover any shifts as needed.
• Refusal to cover a shift during available hours will result in forfeiture of the position.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the greater Chattanooga area.
• Ability to follow care plans and provide high-quality care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Must pass background checks and have up-to-date vehicle insurance.

Working Conditions:

• This role requires flexibility, as assignments may change based on client needs.
• The position involves regular travel within the greater Chattanooga area.
• Physical requirements include lifting, transferring, and assisting clients with mobility as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.25 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
