What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compassionate HHA Needed for Veteran with ALS position at A Better Solution of Manatee?
We’re seeking an experienced Home Health Aide to assist a male veteran with ALS who requires transfer assistance, fall prevention, and help with ADLs. This is a strictly in-home care position per VA guidelines (no transportation or outside activities).
- Mon & Wed: 9 AM – 12 PM
- Sat: 10 AM – 3 PM

As a Home Health Aide with us, you will:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and shaving
- Transfer assistance & fall prevention (wheelchair use, can stand/pivot with help)
- Meal prep & light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, bedding changes, dishes, trash removal, kitchen & bathroom sanitation)

Requirements:
- Level II background screening (can be obtained for as little as $90)
- Experience (varied levels accepted)
