Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with meal planning and consumption as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care and progress notes.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients by engaging in social activities and conversation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or related fields are a plus.
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and their families effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring clients as necessary.
- Empathy and compassion towards individuals in need of care and support.
