A Blessing of Hope Family Services is seeking a Family Support Specialist to conduct family services based on a case plan provided by the Department of Health and Human Services, Child and Family Services division. The goal is to prevent abuse and neglect, strengthen families, and assist in making sure more families are reunified!
Responsibilities:
This role will be working with families to provide direction, coaching, and motivation to achieve the goals set by DHHS, and the court.
- Establish an effective partnership with the assigned therapist to support families with their treatment plan goals.
- Maintain consistent and open communication with the DHHS CFS, and your supervisor about your work with the families.
- Ensuring that professional working relationships are created with families within your scope of duties and training.
- Guide families through crisis situations and ability to guide families through finding resources to meet referral goals from state.
- Submit written incident reports within 24 hours and submit service documentation and mileage for all cases within 36 hours of providing the service with families.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to work minimum 1 weekend day/week and 2pm-8pm in the evening.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to transport families to and from visitation sessions.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Two years of human services or working with kids or families in any capacity Required. If no experience, must have a bachelor's degree in the human service field.
- Clear criminal history and no more than three points assessed on driving record.
- Must be able to effectively document visits.
- Able to build rapport with families.
- Solid communication skills, via phone and email.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Salary: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience, 55 cent mileage reimbursement, and Drive time pay!
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, Evenings, Weekends
This position does require evenings and weekend availability.
As a Family Support Specialist, you will produce a minimum of 13 hours if part-time, an at least 30 hours for Full-Time.

- Are you willing to travel outside of Lincoln, up to 2 hours, to work with kids?
