Job Description

A Brighter Day Pediatrics is seeking a medical receptionist to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Creating a customer-friendly environment
  • Answer phones, referring calls to physicians or triage nurses as needed
  • Retrieve messages from voice mail and greet patients.
  • Schedule/cancel patient appointments
  • Verify demographics and insurance information
  • Register and check out all patients
  • Collect co-payment; print receipt as needed (post charges and payments – if needed) Confirm appointment schedule
  • File and/or upload letters, reports, doctor notes, and triage notes
  • Maintain supplies of all forms and office material
  • Miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties as requested

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
