The A.C. Coy company has an opening for a Digital Accessibility Specialist. Ideal candidates will have experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and experience with maintaining current standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility audits of websites and digital documents for compliance
- Create guidelines and best practices for designing and maintaining accessible websites
- Ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Identify documents with accessibility concerns and propose updates
- Recommend assisting software and hardware
- Serve as subject matter expert for accessibility
Qualifications
Education Required:
- Associates degree in related field
Experience Required:
- 2 years of experience evaluating websites for accessibility
- 2 years of experience with web communications, web development, or digital media
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Knowledge of digital assistive technologies such as JAWs, Siteimprove, NVDA, Voiceover, or Talkback
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and Java preferred
