We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with expertise in various systems and components. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues accurately and perform repairs efficiently, ensuring that all diesel vehicles and equipment operate at optimal performance.

Duties

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including brake repair and hydraulic systems.
• Perform diagnostics on automotive systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Work with heavy equipment operation, ensuring all machinery is functioning correctly.
• Service tractor-trailer units, including engine performance checks and component replacements.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
• Collaborate with other technicians and service personnel to ensure timely completion of work orders.

Skills

• Proficient in brake repair techniques and procedures.
• Experience with Caterpillar engines and components is a plus.
• Knowledge of suspension systems and their repair processes.
• Familiarity with automotive repair practices and standards.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics as they relate to diesel machinery.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
• Competence in automotive diagnostics, utilizing advanced tools for troubleshooting.
• Experience in digging operations related to heavy equipment is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
