Key Responsibilities:
Oversee fleet maintenance, repairs, and inventory for heavy equipment and trucks
Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
Take control of budgeting and cost management, reducing fleet expenses
Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing and service
Develop strong accountability systems for mechanics and operators
Track and manage fleet data, repairs, and maintenance schedules
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and safety regulations
Qualifications:
5 years experience managing a heavy equipment/trucking fleet
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Experience with fleet maintenance software and inventory management
Proven track record of reducing costs and improving efficiency
Ability to hold vendors, mechanics, and operators accountable
Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems a plus
