About the Role: As an HVAC Sales Technician, you will be responsible for both providing technical expertise in HVAC services and selling maintenance agreements, equipment upgrades, and other related products or services to residential customers. Overall, you will be playing a crucial role in driving sales revenue and expanding customer base by combining technical expertise with sales acumen and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions and recommend effective solutions.
- Identify sales opportunities during service calls and consultations with customers by assessing their HVAC needs, recommending appropriate products or services, and presenting solutions that meet their requirements and budget.
- Promote and sell maintenance agreements to customers, outlining the benefits of regular HVAC system maintenance and scheduling recurring service appointments.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Recommend and sell equipment upgrades or replacements to customers, explaining the advantages of newer, more energy efficient HVAC systems.
- Install, repair, or replace components, such as motors, fans, thermostats, and filters.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments.
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements.
- Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the HVAC industry, with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
- Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
