Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatrics and a strong understanding of various medical conditions. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being.
Duties
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
Qualifications
- Experience in geriatrics or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical practices and emergency medicine is a plus.
- Knowledge of hospital medicine or outpatient care environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in various settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
