Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in their daily activities, including personal care and hygiene.
- Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication administration as prescribed, ensuring adherence to treatment plans.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or memory-related conditions.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Support clients in home care settings or group homes, fostering independence while ensuring safety.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is beneficial.
- Experience with dementia care or memory care is highly desirable.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
