Overview
The Water Treatment Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of water treatment systems. This position is responsible for monitoring and optimizing water treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment to provide safe and clean water. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and analytical skills, with a focus on wastewater treatment and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Monitor water treatment processes and perform regular inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Analyze data collected from various systems to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Operate and maintain tanker trucks for the transportation of wastewater and other materials.
• Repair and maintain equipment, including pumps, valves, and logic controllers.
• Build and install new systems or components as needed to enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize distributed control systems to manage treatment processes effectively.
• Conduct routine testing of water samples to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to equipment or processes.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repair.
• Proficiency in analyzing data related to water treatment processes.
• Familiarity with wastewater treatment methods and regulations.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates.
• Experience with logic controllers and distributed control systems is a plus.
• Ability to collect data accurately for reporting purposes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
