We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer with expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs to design, develop, and maintain industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have experience programming and troubleshooting Rockwell Automation products, including RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure system reliability.Key Responsibilities : -PLC Programming : Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC programs using RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and RSLogix 500.-HMI & SCADA Development : Design and implement FactoryTalk View HMI applications for process monitoring and control.-Control System Design : Design, develop, and integrate electrical control systems, including panel layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.-Troubleshooting & Maintenance : Diagnose and resolve automation / control system issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.-VFD & Servo Systems : Configure and commission Allen-Bradley PowerFlex VFDs, servo drives, and motion control systems.-Networking & Communication : Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet / IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Modbus.-Testing & Commissioning : Conduct factory and site acceptance testing (FAT & SAT) to validate system functionality.-Safety & Compliance : Ensure all control systems comply with NFPA 70E, NEC, UL508A, OSHA, and industry safety standards.-Project Management : Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to execute automation projects within budget and deadlines.-Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for automation optimization and efficiency improvements in manufacturing and industrial environments.Required Qualifications : -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.-3 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.-Strong expertise in Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation products (PLC, HMI, VFD, SCADA).-Hands-on experience with RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, and RSLinx.-Knowledge of electrical schematics, panel wiring, and troubleshooting.-Familiarity with industrial sensors, actuators, and robotics.-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.-Ability to travel for commissioning, troubleshooting, and support as needed.Preferred Qualifications : -Experience with Siemens, Schneider, or Beckhoff PLCs (in addition to Allen-Bradley).-Familiarity with IIoT, Industry 4.0, and SCADA system integration.-Knowledge of SQL databases, Python, or VB scripting for automation reporting.-Professional Engineering (PE) license or Certified Automation Professional (CAP) certification.Work Environment : -Industrial / manufacturing plants, automation labs, or field commissioning sites.-May involve travel for installations, troubleshooting, and project execution.-Exposure to high-voltage systems and moving machinery, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
