We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motor controls. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other automation platforms and be able to diagnose and repair electrical and control system issues in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.Key Responsibilities : -PLC Troubleshooting & Support : Diagnose and repair PLC-based control systems, including Allen-Bradley (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000), Siemens, or Schneider.-HMI & SCADA Maintenance : Assist in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, or Ignition HMI / SCADA systems.-Control Panel Wiring & Installation : Read and interpret electrical schematics, wire control panels, and assist with equipment commissioning.-VFD & Motor Control Systems : Install, configure, and maintain Allen-Bradley PowerFlex VFDs, servo drives, and soft starters.-Sensor & Instrumentation Troubleshooting : Work with proximity sensors, encoders, flow meters, thermocouples, and pressure transducers.-Industrial Networking & Communication : Troubleshoot EtherNet / IP, Modbus, ControlNet, and DeviceNet communication issues.-Preventive & Predictive Maintenance : Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical and control systems to prevent downtime.-Safety & Compliance : Ensure electrical systems comply with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and UL508A safety standards.-Collaboration & Documentation : Work with engineers and maintenance teams to improve system performance and maintain accurate documentation.Required Qualifications : -Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, or Industrial Electronics.-2 years of experience in electrical controls or industrial automation.-Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and motor controls.-Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.-Strong troubleshooting skills for industrial automation and electrical systems.-Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.-Knowledge of lockout / tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety standards.Preferred Qualifications : -Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider PLCs.-Knowledge of robotics, vision systems, or pneumatic controls.-Experience in manufacturing, food processing, or heavy industry.-Strong understanding of IIoT, Industry 4.0, and SCADA integration.Work Environment : -Manufacturing, industrial, or field service environments.-Requires working around high-voltage equipment, rotating machinery, and hazardous conditions.-May require overtime, shift work, or on-call support for troubleshooting critical systems.
