Steel Fabrication company is looking to hire an Inventory Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
· Maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands. Identify and optimize common inventory items.
· Ensure optimal inventory is present and ready for use.
· Loading of materials to be shipped and unloading/receiving materials and other items.
· Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
· Checking deliveries against the BOL and PO to ensure they meet AISC and QMS standards.
· Return defective (products that do not meet AISC or QMS standards) products back to supplier.
· Keep and maintain a specific area for non-controlled inventory.
· Helps to maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory via STRUMIS.
· Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units via STRUMIS.
· Ensure that inventory cycle counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner
· Picking and wrapping orders – pick tickets/material sales
· Identifying workplace safety hazards; Safety is the top priority while performing any part of your job.
· Adhering to safety management, AISC and QMS standards
· Adhering to production schedules.
· Able to maintain a clean and safe work area.
· Knowledge of safe use and handling of power tools.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
***MUST Have ability to read tape measure and general use of power tools such as drill press, grinder, saw, sanders and general hand tools. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions a must! ***
-Must have experienced with steel and metal
· Must be detail-oriented and able to focus on small details.
· Knowledge of safe use and handling of power tools.
· Material identification knowledge is a MUST.
· Able to follow directions and work with a sense of urgency.
· Forklift experience required.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Customer focused attitude.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive motion for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs of product and material.
· Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards - Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
· Contribute to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.
· Sweeping & cleaning production areas.
· Follow all company rules and policies.
· Maintain a high degree of integrity with regards to professional behavior and safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
