Position Description :
The Forklift Operator I - Picking is responsible for ensuring assigned workload is completed with maximum accuracy and efficiency at the Learning Resources Distribution Center in Vernon Hills, Illinois. This includes, but is not limited to, customer order picking, replenishing, shipping activities, and daily assignments to support these activities. This position reports to the Forklift Operator & Shuttle Driver Lead.
Scope of Responsibilities :
- Work with F / L Shuttle Driver Lead to determine day's assignments, paying attention to priorities and potential issues.
- Complete assignments accurately and efficiently in a safe and timely manner.
- Respond to Pick Module Lead's requests for emergency replenishment (RPLN) assistance so stock levels are at an acceptable level thus reducing downtime for 'hold' items.
- Work with Lead to highlight any issues or concerns regarding equipment and tools to accomplish tasks.
- Participate in and give feedback for any new process implemented in the DC.
- Ensure the DC housekeeping policy is adhered to and any safety issues / concerns are addressed or brought to management accordingly.
- Responsible to understand and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for additional projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor.
