Overview
A-dec seeks to prepare and create work-force ready technicians through theoretical concepts, hands on projects and on-the-job mentorship.Concepts
Apply and/or expand the student's knowledge of LEAN manufacturing basics by reducing the cycle time of processes and increasing flexibility, thereby improving the overall quality of the work.
Skill Development
Adhere to safety guidelines, proactively identify potential safety hazards and initiate corrective action when necessary, maintain acceptable dependability level, and must not pose a risk to self or others.
Develop and improve skills in communication, technology, quantitative reasoning, and teamwork.
Personal Development
Assist with the student's development of A-dec’s manufacturing valued skills such as quality, teamwork, communications and attention to detail.
Develop a solid work ethic and professional demeanor, as well as a commitment to ethical conduct and social responsibility.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis. Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift. Some areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration and /or dust, and require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc.
