Job Description

Summary : A E Networks seeks a versatile, nimble Editor to line edit and sometimes assign stories about history and crime for its websites, primarily History.com. Stories may range from features; quick-hit news-related pieces; and encyclopedic articles. The expectations are to work quickly, accurately and creatively to make stories come alive. This role reports to a Senior Editor.

• Edit stories to improve narrative and precision
• Ensure a compelling story structure that puts the reader first
• Build stories in the CMS, deciding what related content will create a strong on-page experience
• Ensure discoverability, eg SEO and sharable headlines
• Work with Writers to develop ideas
• Assist or build newsletters and social posts

Compensation

Hourly Pay Range : $38.99 - $44.83

Annual Incentive Target : 5%

The annual / hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
