We are looking for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join our team.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Entry Technician to join our team in a long-term care pharmacy office environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately entering medication orders into our system, ensuring the correct medications are dispensed for our long-term care residents. This position will primarily focus on night and weekend shifts to provide continuous support to our pharmacy team.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter medication orders into pharmacy systems for long-term care patients.
- Verify medication orders and prescriptions for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare providers to ensure correct medication administration.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all entries are up to date and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Process medication changes and refills in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to inquiries regarding medication orders and clarify any discrepancies.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to all confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with medication packaging, labeling, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare setting, or order entry preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software (Framework LTC) and medication order entry systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and handle tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends.
- Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and regulations is a plus.
