POSITION SUMMARY:
Our new state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to delivering fresh, safe, and delicious meat products to our customers. We are looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team. As a Meat Packer, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that our meat products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The position involves handling various tasks within the production line, working with modern machinery, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment.
• Inspect meat products for quality and adherence to food safety regulations.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for sanitation and hygiene.
• Package finished meat products for distribution and sale.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the lead.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and goals.
• Follows USDA guidelines and procedures.
• Assist in other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• HS Diploma or equivalent,
• Previous experience in a meat processing or food production environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a cold and fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to perform duties in a work environment of 40 degrees F.
