Operator (Day Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY:

It all flows through you. As a member of our warehouse team, you will take orders from request to reality, in an environment where you’ll feel and create a culture of safety and family. You will safely and efficiently move and track all inbound, stored products within the warehouse. This includes performing a variety of tasks such as offloading, stocking, and replenishing products to ensure that the warehouse is always clean and safe. Our Warehouse Team Members prepare the orders that sustain our business, instilling and reinforcing safety above all else. We work as a team to deliver accurate and damage-free orders. At the foundation of those efforts are our cultural beliefs, the pillars that define our work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service. Together we help our customers make it, but we also believe in helping our warehouse team make it!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Palletizing products
• Operating a reach truck forklift.
• Inventory management.
• Using an RF scanner.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Transporting all products and materials.
• Verify products, quantities, and order numbers correctly.
• Move freight safely throughout the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Operation reach truck.
• Stacking products throughout warehouse as needed.
• Put away pallets from the receiving dock.
• Transporting product safely through the warehouse.
• Storing pallets on warehouse shelves.
• Performing end of shift tasks such as charging power equipment and verifying completed work.
• Maintaining clean, orderly workstation-returning supplies and merchandise to assigned locations

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent,
• Basic math skills required
• Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.
• Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. 
• Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.

• Ability to work independently.
• Great communication skills.
• Must have previous experience driving reach trucks.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to lift, carry, and position:  up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to meet production standards for MPH
• Confident and comfortable operating equipment at heights up to 30 feet
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Operator of a Stand-Up Reach Forklift, who “Puts away” product in the warehouse in the correct locations.

Work Environment:

• Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements.
• The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment
• Regularly exposed to fast moving material handling and other mechanical equipment.
• Working in multiple environments including office, warehouse (can reach up to 100F) and ambient refrigeration (33-38F) and freezer areas (0- -20) for extended times
• The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
