POSITION SUMMARY:
Supply Works is a division of A.F. Wendling’s that requires a self-supporting and capable of working independently, while also integrating and working with all other departments. The Sales Consultant is responsible for expanding penetration of profitable chemical, non-foods, and beverage items, providing product information to internal and external customers, and working with vendors to learn of industry trends & products to serve changing consumer needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in training, webinars, vendor workshops, and utilize manufacturer websites to gain product knowledge which can be organized by category and usage type.
• Maintain brochures, MSDS sheets, & flyers for products, equipment & dispensers
• Utilize Syndigo information system to identify and measure customer voids and targets, as well as progress in expanding sales & profits.
• Conduct product demonstrations and education at periodic sales meetings and customer establishments
• Respond quickly and effectively to opportunities and problems and build trust with customers and employees through dependability & follow through.
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• HS Diploma or equivalent,
• Two or more years Sales and Customer Service background with a track record of producing results.
• Proficient Computer and Excel Skills
• Strong background in sales
• Management skills
• Ability to problem solve with little guidance and self-manage.
• Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.
• Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.
Physical Requirements:
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 80 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Working in multiple environments
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
