What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Teacher/ Activity Leader position at A Family Tree School-age Centers?
A Family Tree is a fun, interactive work environment for youth professionals who are enthusiastic to work with school-age children ages 5-12 years old. Suppose you love creating and leading art projects, music activities, drama games. Maybe you are interested in leading a youth gardening club, sports/children fitness program, or are a master Lego builder or master chef in the kitchen; this could be the job for you.
*** Part-time hours available immediately Monday- Friday 2:30pm-5:30pm
*** Full-time hours available June, July and August! (Also school break weeks- Feb, April and Dec) Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Our management team is led by our Director, a RI State Licensed Teacher in Elementary and Special Ed with years of experience in the field ready to support our teaching team members. Our work environment is fast-paced, always something new, full of fun and laughter with great students. We will provide the right candidates with additional training, including 30 hours of professional development, CPR training, and an introduction to the National Afterschool Association that outlines the highest quality of care in after-school and youth programs.

Job duties include
- Supervising and interacting with a group of children under your care
- Working with your partner to ensure children are safe, happy, and having fun
- Lead exciting activities that are of interest to you and our students
- Provide academic support as needed
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age
- Experience working with School-age Youth
- Ability to work well as part of a diverse team of people
- Experience with persons from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and Child Protective Services background check.
- High School Diploma or GED
