What will you do?

The Fire Protection Production Planner is responsible for overseeing the overall System Bottle Recharge process by creating and managing production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products, optimizing resource allocation (labor, materials, equipment), and coordinating with various departments to meet production goals, all while monitoring inventory levels and identifying potential issues to maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness within the Bowling Green production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the daily, weekly and monthly production plan and liaise with operations and

Commercial team to ensure achievement of the plan so that there is sufficient stock

available to fulfill orders

• Follow and support all processes and procedures in order to prevent a negative impact to Safety, Quality and/or the Environment
• Assist in the coordination of all inbound/outbound transport within the US and abroad
• Inform the commercial team of any anticipated stock shortfalls or excess in a timely manner so that stocks can be managed to ensure that we are able to fulfill customer orders and excess stocks are summarily addressed
• Complete environmental services planning that includes analysis planning, recovery preparation, and decant planning so that incoming product is processed in line with our stock requirement
• Track key performance metrics (e.g. On-time delivery, utilization, schedule adherence) and implement data driven improvements
• Analyze demand forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels to develop optimized production plans
• Collaborate with business systems and operations to improve and ensure the proper implementation of systems and processes for cylinder tracking, maintaining accurate records and full traceability of cylinders
• Coordinate with logistics to promptly identify and communicate any real or potential delays in the weekly schedule. This allows customer service to keep customers informed and provides time to resolve issues effectively

Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, economics or equivalent experience

• 3 years in supply chain planning, production, network planning, logistics with a proven understanding of production planning or manufacturing operations or equivalent experience

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on production metrics

• Strong organization, planning, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines

• Clear and concise communication with cross-functional departments to coordinate production activities

• A sound understanding of regulated systems such as ISO 9000 and 14000

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams

• Experience in handling and setting budgets and financial performance parameters

Physical Demand Requirements:   

• Sitting up to 75% of the time, standing and/or walking 25% of the time
• Frequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information, typing and mouse usage up to 50%
• Bending or stooping up to 10%
• Eye strain from computer work up to 15%
• The ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Frequently communicates detailed information to others. Must be able to exchange accurate information that others can understand
