A friendly hello from Celine (the Girl) and Graham (the Golden). We’re a pet-care duo that got its start in Laguna Beach, and now service Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, and parts of Mission Viejo and Dana Point. We offer dog walking, cat drop-ins, and in-home sittings, like most pet-care companies. The one difference is that I have had the privilege of quite literally building my business with my Golden Retriever in mind - he has accompanied me to over 500 walks and 300 sits!

We have reached the point of not being able to take on additional clients and are faced with a decision - hire some more help, or not accept any new clients. Obviously, we’re going to try the former!

Being a dog walker/pet sitter is often regarded as an “easy” and “fun” job - and at times, it is! However, there’s more to the picture than sunshine, puppy kisses, and kitty purrs.

I'm looking for trustworthy, reliable, and communicative people to help lighten my workload, grow my business, and help Graham and me provide excellent care to both our furry and non-furry clients. Someone who understands the “Golden Rule” - we care for pets the way we would want ours to be treated.

On any given day, you might be tasked with cleaning up kitty throw-up, trying to bribe a dog into taking their medicine, creating social media posts on Canva or hitting the pavement handing out fliers. This job isn't for someone who just wants to hang with pets all day either - a lot of our clients are at home when we come to do services - which is why you need to be adept at communicating with humans as well. Typically though, you'll be spending a good portion of your day walking pups in either 30 or 60-minute increments. We ask that you drive to these appointments, check in and out of appointments using our mobile app, and write nice informative updates with clear pictures to let clients know how their pets are doing.

We have designated business hours from 8 am-4 pm. Requests can be made outside of these hours at an additional fee. This job is somewhat of a "seasonal job" - not in the traditional sense, but typically when travel is expected is when we experience the highest demand eg. Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas. With that said, we cannot promise fixed weekly hours at this time. I hope to find someone to consistently walk some of my current clients while I, in the meantime, look for more clients for you to take care of. We DO work all major holidays, but naturally, you will be paid extra on those days. You also keep any tips you receive, I will happily provide equipment, paid training, relevant education and any other support I can reasonably offer. You are paid for in-between drive time to be reimbursed for mileage at the government rate (.67/mi).

I’ll be real with you - adding my first employee was an incredible leap of faith - and I got so lucky with them! I've spent a long time building dependable reputation among my clients and putting that into other people’s hands has been…terrifying! I hope to learn a lot from my employees and hopefully, you can learn from me. I know what it’s like to work a job where you feel as if you and your employer are on different planets - I want to be approachable and a support system to you while on the job. As I continue learn the ropes of being an employer, I hope to implement incentives the longer you work with me such as bringing your own dog to work, paying for business-related certifications, and of course, raises.

Job Requirements

• Pet sitting experience
• based within/willing to drive to service area radius
• Own a reliable, titled, and insured vehicle
• Valid driver’s license
• Smartphone with photo, video & GPS capability as well as the ability to use it
• Available holidays, weekends, evenings
• Comfortable working in all weather (rain or shine - within reason!)
• Must ADORE animals
• Pass a background check (job offers are contingent on passing)
