About This Job
We are hiring part-time and full-time handymen / maintenance technicians. The maintenance technician works with a crew to handle repairs, improvements, and makereadies for our clients. Our office finds the work, manages scheduling and handles billing. This role works "in the field" to ensure the repairs are completed on time and meet high quality standards.
We've all worked with "that person" who is great at their job but are often late, irritable with the team, and eager to clock out ASAP. It kills the office energy and isn't great to work with. We want the opposite of that. We are looking for someone comfortable moving at a rapid pace and won't be easily frustrated by unplanned changes. This role requires a stellar ability to communicate and work with a team and a strong ability to work independently. Specific tasks and preferred proficiencies are outlined below. In addition to the tasks outlined below this role includes weekly team meetings to collaborate on open work orders.
What You'll Do
- Perform light / medium maintenance, repairs, and home improvement
- Light landscaping (trim trees from power lines, cut back overgrown bushes)
- Handle emergency tasks (shoveling snow, dripping faucets, etc.)
- Identify and report the need for major repairs to maintenance manager
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, hardware, touchup paint, change light bulbs, etc.)
- Light pest control (setting traps, spraying insecticide, etc.)
- Collaborate with team members during renovations
