Accounting Clerk | Bergenfield, NJ area (Fully on-site)
Temporary | Anticipated for 6 months (possibly longer)
Monday - Friday | 8:30am to 5:00pm
OVERVIEW:
Position is within the HR Department reporting to HR and works closely with Accounting. Responsible for the flow of purchase orders/incoming invoices and knowing which company to apply & code the invoices for AP processing. Administrative duties as needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Create and process purchase orders related to HR services, supplies, training materials, or any other HR-related purchases.
- Ensure all invoices received from vendors, service providers, and training consultants are verified, approved, and processed for timely payment.
- Liaise with the finance department to ensure proper budgeting, coding, and reporting of HR-related expenditures.
- Track expenses against the department’s budget and report on any variances.
- Manage Bill Back process.
- Follow up with vendors for outstanding or incorrect invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must consistently demonstrate a polished, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal / communication skills
- Experience with AP coding, and processing
- Understanding how to apply intercompany charges (multiple entities)
- Must be very proficient with Microsoft Excel and system savvy
