What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at A Greater Austin Development Co. LLC?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project by preparing construction estimates from civil plans.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand civil construction plans
- Perform quantity takeoffs from plans
- Perform material takeoffs from plans
- Input estimate information into estimating software
- Maintain a high work ethic which includes but is not limited to GADCO Safety Policies
- Performs other duties and/or tasks as instructed or assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in construction/engineering discipline (or equivalent experience), preferred
- Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, interact, and complete duties under tight deadlines
- Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills
- 1 - 3 years' of construction experience preferred
