Full-Time Consumer Loan
Underwriter
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
**This is an On-Site role**
Role:
Responsible
for making loan decisions or recommendations to the next level approving
authority. To decision all type of consumer loans in a timely manner, following
Credit Union standards. Attendance is an essential function of performing the
duties of this job.
Essential
Functions & Responsibilities:
25% - Cultivates and
maintains a high level of communication with co-workers; exhibits ability to
discuss and answer questions on loan decisions with dealerships, loan officers,
and supervisor.
20% - Reviews and analyzes
current financial condition of members and applicants to determine appropriate
qualifications and credit limits for consumer loans.
20% - Performs underwriting
process and makes loan decisions to approve, deny, counter or forward to a
manager in accordance with lending authority. Will provide backup to the
Indirect Underwriter as needed.
15% - Prepares and processes
monthly reports, completes lien/UCC releases, processes CPI insurance, and
other duties as assigned related to consumer lending.
10% - Assists the loan
processor(s) as needed with daily loan tasks.
5% - Attends meetings and
training classes in order to stay current on policies, procedures, and
compliance; takes initiative to stay informed on current trends in consumer
lending; seeks opportunities to learn new skills.
5% - Performs other job
related duties as assigned.
