Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grade 5-8 STEM Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design thinking, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and be able to effectively teach these subjects to students in grades 5-8. The STEM Teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, conducting hands-on experiments, and fostering a love of STEM and design thinking in our students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement STEM curriculum for grades 5-8
- Plan and conduct engaging and interactive STEM lessons
- Provide hands-on learning opportunities for students
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate STEM concepts into other subjects
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on STEM education best practices
- Be creative with prototyping and creating through recycled materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM-related field
- Teaching certification
- Experience teaching STEM subjects to students in grades 5-8
- Strong knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for STEM education and inspiring students
