Job Overview
The Inventory Management Specialist is a key role responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring data integrity in our inventory systems, and driving improvements in warehouse organization and inventory control processes. This role requires a detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional with deep experience in warehouse inventory management and a passion for operational excellence. The ideal candidate takes ownership of inventory health, works neatly and efficiently, and collaborates well across departments to keep materials flowing and records accurate.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis.
· Establish and maintain inventory organization systems that ensure visibility and accessibility.
· Recommend and implement improvements in physical inventory layout, labeling, and process flows.
· Served as a subject matter expert in the inventory management system (IMS); provide user support and training if needed.
· Audit receiving and shipping transactions for accuracy; collaborate with those teams to correct errors.
· Maintain a clean and well-organized inventory workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Preferred Qualities
· 3 years of experience in warehouse inventory management or a similar role.
· Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Fishbowl, etc.).
· High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
· Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset.
· Proven track record of improving inventory accuracy and/or reducing shrink.
Requirements
· Must be highly organized with strict attention to detail and a positive, “can-do” attitude.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate cross-functionally.
· Comfortable working independently and proactively identifying and solving issues.
· Ability to handle physical demands of the warehouse (lifting up to 50 lbs., standing).
