What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Forming Machine Operator position at A Hiring Company?
This is a 2nd Shift Position: Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am
DESCRIPTION:
Successfully operate Purlin and Eave Strut Forming Machine and/or other metal forming/bending machines including:
- Loading Coil materials by use of Overhead Crane.
- Program/data entry into machine per specifications.
- Completing document usage reports.
- Assist with securing bundles of product using banding equipment.
- Select, move, and position material on the equipment to ensure safe operation and products that meet specifications.
- Maintains equipment by performing routine cleaning and maintenance. Reports malfunctions and problems to Team Leader.
- Checks work against specifications and notifies QC if irregularities are found.
- Moves materials to the next workstation and disposes of any scrap in the proper location.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to read and interpret specification blueprints.
- Able to work independently.
- Accurately record material usage.
- Work in other areas and perform other duties as necessary
