Pack & Ship Supervisor – Hemp-Based Products
Location: Asterra Labs – Nashville, North Carolina
Compensation: $22–$24/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Asterra Labs, a division of Oak Ridge Industries, is looking for a motivated and experienced Pack & Ship Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory management at our Nashville, NC facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining an efficient system for packaging and shipping hemp-based products, as well as improving inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively participate in daily packing and shipping operations
- Oversee receiving and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and organization
- Implement and improve systems for tracking inventory and shipping logistics
- Maintain compliance with company policies and quality control standards
- Train and lead team members in best practices for shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline workflow and resolve logistical issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, or logistics
- Ability to take initiative and improve processes rather than just stepping into an existing system
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Leadership experience preferred; ability to train and oversee a small team
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or fulfillment environment is a plus
- Dependable, efficient, and capable of working independently
