Position Summary:

The Project Director will oversee and coordinate all activities related to the "Empower Behavioral Health: A Minority Health Syndemic Response" grant. This initiative aims to address the urgent and concurrent SUD/OUD and HIV/STI epidemics, particularly among high-risk minority populations. The Project Director will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation, staff management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to ensure the successful delivery of program goals and objectives. The Project Director will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing an IOP in accordance with grant guidelines. This program will include peer support, group sessions, and individual sessions. The Project Director will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, provide clinical supervision, and oversee daily operations to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and oversee behavioral health programs, with a focus on substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and prevention.

  • Ensure all programs are in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines, including HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

  • Provide supervision and leadership to staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and evidence-based care models.

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the project's objectives.

  • Ensure the integration of substance use disorder treatment, HIV/STI prevention, and related behavioral health services.

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the grant, including budget planning, program development, and staff recruitment.

  • Ensure the provision of culturally competent, trauma-informed care that addresses the unique needs of the target populations: MSM, youth aged 13-24, and PWID.

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities, as well as addressing staff concerns or grievances.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to develop evidence-based treatment protocols.

  • Ensure that programs are culturally competent and accessible to diverse populations.

  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, adjusting as needed to improve effectiveness.

  • Develop/implement quality assurance initiatives to enhance patient care and services.

  • Recruit, hire, and train IOP staff, ensuring they are qualified.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.

  • Provide direct support and counseling to clients as needed.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and ensure integrated, client-centered care.

  • Oversee client assessments, treatment plans, and care coordination, ensuring high standards of service delivery.

  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.

  • Serve as a key liaison with community partners, healthcare providers, and government agencies to build partnerships and promote services.

  • Lead efforts to secure grants, funding, and other resources to expand behavioral health programs.

  • Develop and conduct staff training and professional development activities.

  • Address client concerns and provide crisis intervention as necessary.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work.

  • Must possess a valid and current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Nevada.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

  • Demonstrated expertise in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and prevention.

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal behavioral health regulations and best practices.

  • Experience managing budgets, staff, and clinical operations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.

  • Demonstrated experience working with minority populations, particularly in the areas of LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities.

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and data management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Additional licensure or certifications in substance use disorder counseling.

  • Experience in grant writing and securing program funding.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Working Conditions:


  • Office-based with occasional travel to program sites and community events.

  • May involve evening or weekend hours as needed to meet program requirements.
