Delivery Driver

PAY TYPE:                           Hourly

SALARY:                               $18.70

REPORTS TO:                     Delivery Lead

SUMMARY:                        The delivery team is responsible for ensuring completed jobs are safely loaded, transported and delivered to job sites complete and without damage.

MOST IMPORTANT TASKS:         

• Load, pack and unload items with care.
• Ensure that no items are damaged while moving.
• Place cabinets in designated areas as determined by job bosses, delivery scheduler or lead.
• Take inventory of items prior to leaving facility and take inventory of items being left at delivery location.
• Ensure all parts, pieces, hardware and additional items are accounted for prior to departure and upon delivery.
• Maintain vehicle safe and clean.
• Maneuver vehicle within construction sites.
• Follow all posted traffic signs and laws.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:               Manufacturing facility, on the road, and construction sites.

MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Proven experience as mover
• Attention to detail and familiarity with cabinets
• Ability to read, write and communicate with staff and all levels of management
• Communicate effectively with the person in your delivery team during deliveries.
• Ability to navigate rough construction terrain
• Be able to lift, carry and walk with up to 150 lbs as a 2-person team
• Complete paperwork and communicate discrepancies to necessary personnel.
• Ability to problem solve

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS:

• Full Time, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Some late nights, early mornings and Saturdays may be required.
• Additional mandatory overtime may be necessary

TRAVEL:                                               Travel is required daily throughout Oregon and Washington. No overnight travel is required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation Medical Card appointment. 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: N/A

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS: Must have reliable transportation, must be available for the hours expected of the shift and early when necessary, and must be able to read, write and communicate with management regarding constraints to the sweep and sort process.
