Job Description
We offer competitive pay based on experience and are open to negotiation. Our team performs routine maintenance throughout the week as needed, including emergency repairs, tire changes, diagnostics, greases, and oil changes on Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic diesel maintenance tasks, such as greasing, oil changes, filter replacements, checking tires and fluids.
- Ensure timely arrival at work and efficiently communicate with colleagues to guarantee job completion.
- Assist coworkers as needed and provide support during daily tasks.
- Perform advanced diesel repair tasks occasionally.
- Help drivers with repairs required after pre-trip inspections.
- Maintain trailers and perform brake work.
- Repair lights and wiring systems.
- Repair air lines and perform tire repairs (patching and changing tires).
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of diesel mechanic experience is preferred, with a minimum of 1 year required.
- Owning your own tools is highly desirable.
- You must be able to work Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm, with occasional later finishes depending on task completion.
- Familiarity with diesels and their operation is essential.
- The ability to learn new skills and willingness to take on new challenges is crucial.
- Bonus points for possessing wiring knowledge.
