Overview

Coordinates shipping, receiving and stocking of materials and stages materials and equipment for technicians. Supports good customer relations and assists installation/service crews by organizing and pulling materials. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Ensures that appropriate materials are pulled and organized for scheduled jobs. 
• Works closely with outside vendors and suppliers for purchasing supplies and equipment as requested by technicians.
• Prepares and coordinates delivery of equipment and materials for transport to job sites and staging for technicians. 
• Inspects and signs out parts and equipment to technicians, ensuring that technicians maintain appropriate equipment to properly perform required tasks. 
• Receives incoming shipments, checking the purchase order against invoice with actual shipment for completeness and accuracy before distribution or placement in appropriate warehouse location. 
• Prepares and coordinates shipments and returns warranty items to different vendors, as needed. 
• Takes acceptance of returns and handles according to type of return. 
• Maintains equipment catalogs, files and specification books.
• Assists in loading jobs on trucks and coordinates any shipping.
• Orders supplies, parts and materials for the warehouse and takes receipt of stock. Maintains appropriate inventory control documentation. 

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Relevant experience and/or training or a combination of both training and education is acceptable.

Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

Previous warehouse experience with inventory knowledge

Strong organizational skills and a high level of detail.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Mechanical aptitude in routine equipment maintenance.

Understanding of plumbing parts, A/C, heating, and electrical equipment.

Ability to operate various warehouse equipment IE: pallet jack
