We are looking for an experienced Estimator with knowledge of identifying labor, material, and time requirements for project scopes. The responsibilities include computing costs by analyzing labor, material and time requirements.
The Estimator should have direct experience and knowledge with US Government Federal contracts (i.e., Army, Navy, Air Force, etc.), in the areas of facilities support services, commercial and institutional building construction, and janitorial services.
The Estimator will develop bids for request for proposals (RFP) and new projects.
Analyze pricing data and input data into estimating software package or spreadsheets, to create a detailed and accurate estimate of labor, material, and time requirements.
Monitor the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with the forecasts.
Analyze required documents and project plans to gain knowledge and understanding of the project
Determine factors that will influence the cost of the project plans
Prepare material and labor per project scope of work
Create labor estimates for projects to meet submission deadlines
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors and internal team members
Manage bids from vendors and contractors
Use bid data to prepare details cost analysis by project scope of work
Communicate and present estimates to assigned Project Managers and internal team members.
Compile and record actual costs data.
