Summary :
This position is responsible for overseeing mechanical / electrical facility maintenance services including routine, preventative maintenance, minor repairs - such as inspections, testing, cleaning, adjusting, and calibrating - as well as other minor maintenance corrections - including all scheduled and preventative maintenance recommended by the manufacturers' systems and equipment.
Facilities include control, communications, and electrical rooms; dissolved oxygen treatment components consisting of intake structures / wetwells, rack screens, stop gates, fish screens, self-cleaning strainers, high pressure pumps, low pressure pumps, mixing pumps, dewatering sump pumps, Speece cones, intake pumps (Speece cone feed pumps), oxygen generation equipment, discharge systems, support systems, instrumentation / online analyzers, landscape and security provisions, and the entrance roadways.
The position is responsible for the management of assigned project(s) to ensure the safety, quality and profitability of all activities performed on assigned jobs.
The Project Manager is responsible for and is charged with Core services that encompasses :
- Management of facility maintenance
- Oversight of project team and activities
- Supervising the operation of Dissolved Oxygen Injection Facility
- Monitoring activities and progress
- Compliance with scope of work, regulations, and policies.
- Risk management
- Reporting and documentation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The Project Manager shall assume full responsibility for supervising and ensuring every team member perform their assigned duties.Provide Plant project oversight and interface directly with project staff and clients to ensure full program results and compliance for quality, service, and cost.Ensure project scope, tasks, deliverables, and resources are clear and adequate to establish client expectations; Ensure quality and productivity standards are maintained and monitor the progress and status of tasks to successful completion.Coordinate each project phase and identifies milestones and gaps.Manage all aspects of operations of assigned sites and team members.Prepare work schedules to determine appropriate mix of staffing and system capacity to ensure that service levels are met.Ensure that timecards, payroll, and other administrative and contractual requirements are complete and accurate for the team members assigned.Supervise work performance of team members and ensure that all team members receive operational guidance and that operational effectiveness metrics are attained.Ensure team members meet service level agreements.Lead team members with understanding business requirements, provide training as needed, coach, guide and develop team members.Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into overall project plan.Ensure team members meet quality, training, and operational goals.Provide internal planning, guidance, and management structure for evaluating and tracking results and accomplishment of projects.Exercise independent judgment as well as a high level of analytical skill in solving complex and unusual managerial, technical, and administrative problems.Manage the quality operations and certification programs at a site, monitor the implementation of quality standards as defined for the program.Work with leadership to ensure program initiatives are implemented to improve customer satisfaction and the customer experience.Review and document performance anomalies and issues and tracks to resolution.Ensure the safekeeping of the facilities and take responsible precautions to prevent or minimize hazards.Oversee scheduled repairs, make sure they are completed, and adjust schedule to meet emergencies.Manage the scoping of projects or development of operating plans and write project plans and reports.Monitor, document, and report progress of all assigned projects by regularly communicating with responsible personnel and clients.Prepare, accumulate and / or review required project documentation for assigned jobs to assure completeness, accuracy, quality, timeliness and follow up actions are carried out.Maintain a work environment that is productive, safe and continuously kept clean and orderly.Establish a professional work environment that includes fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, facilitating problem solving and for minimizing and resolving conflict in a constructive manner.All work shall be performed in an expeditious manner, so the facilities remain in a state of readiness or operational mode.All work areas and means of access shall be maintained in a safe and orderly condition for ease of ingress and egress in and around the facilities.No trash or debris shall be permitted to accumulate outside of trash receptacles.All floors shall be swept, and the interior floors swept and mopped as often as necessary to keep them clean.Flexible hours for alternative scheduling and on-call as needed.Perform other duties as directed by higher Management.Qualifications :
Current safety credentials to include OSHA 10 or USACE EM 385-1-1 and First Aid / CPR required.Must have LEED experience (certification a plus).Current QCM certification issued by Associated General Contractors (AGC).Will be required to pass Background Investigation.Required Experience :
Higher Level Supervisor Experience
Excellent oral and written communications, listening skills and ability to interact with others.Team player with good interpersonal skillsSome College or High School Diploma with specialization in industrial or vocational trades preferred.High School Education or equivalent is acceptable.Knowledge of pump and industrial equipment rebuilding and repair experience.At least 7 years of experience in the management of Operation and Maintenance water facility.5-7 years mechanical experience.5-7 years supervisory experience.
