Overall Career Summary:
The Executive Sales Assistant position supports the Executive Vice President of Sales who leads the North American sales efforts for A&K Railroad Materials. The successful candidates focus will be on assisting the improvement of the efficient and effective operation of the nationwide sales team. They will also be involved with creating customer solutions regarding key projects and long-term purchasing agreements. A&K offers the opportunity to learn the railroad material supply industry as well as its vast customer base in a commercial role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, preparing communications, organize meetings, scheduling, and sending reminders
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Assist with creating sales presentations and proposals
- Handle data entry into A&K’s enterprise system related to special sales opportunities
- CRM data entry and management
- Arrange and manage travel for the Executive Vice President of Sales
- Work effectively with regional sales personnel regarding sales needs and business opportunities
- Ability to listen, understand and follow directions
- Ability to focus on details
- Ability to review, enter, and manipulate data
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills

- Ability to multitask and have excellent time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, & Power Point
Preferred Qualifications: Requirements:
- 2-5 years previous experience as an administrative assistant, preferably supporting C-Suite executives
- Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and materials
- Previous experience with ERP or other data entry systems
- College degree, other schooling, or experience that is geared towards business or sales
- Previous sales administrative experience.
