Job Summary
The Early Foundations Autism para plays a crucial role in supporting students with autism in an educational setting. Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing educational programs tailored to the needs of students with autism.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Work one-on-one with students to reinforce learning objectives that are on the spectrum
- Monitor student behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers to track student progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
- Help prepare classroom materials and assist in maintaining an organized classroom setting.
- Foster social skills development through structured activities and peer interactions.
Experience
- A background in early childhood education is preferred, with knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Experience working with students, particularly those with autism or other special needs, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and classroom management techniques is advantageous.
- Previous childcare experience, especially in a daycare setting, is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
- Experience in behavior management strategies will be considered a plus.
