We’re looking for a Therapist to join our team! This position will provide clinical and/or behavioral therapy for youth served by A Kid’s Place and will be an integral part of the program team. The Therapist will report to the Program Director. This is a full-time position, salary and exempt. Schedule: Choice of either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday; one weekend day is required as part of the schedule, 11a-7p, and flexible when needed. Pay: $60K annually. Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
- Maintain an ongoing individual therapy relationship with assigned youth, being alert to symptoms of social, behavioral, learning, and emotional problems.
- Provide individual and group therapy as deemed appropriate in the youth service plan.
- Respond to crisis situations, emergencies, and interventions promptly, both during scheduled work hours and after hours, if needed.
- Develop and maintain case record documentation including, but not limited to, individual plans and reviews, progress notes, discharge and aftercare planning, and reports.
- Administer assessments that measure the youth’s progress.
- Attend case and team meetings for assigned youth and provide clinical/behavioral findings and recommendations on an ongoing basis.
- Train, observe, and document direct care staff’s implementation of the youth’s individualized plan.
- Other duties assigned.
- Ability to pass a Level 2 FDLE background screen, drug screen, and local background screen upon initial hire and annually.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions even in stressful situations.
- The ability to arrive at work on time, be ready to perform all job duties and work all assigned shifts and hours.
- Ability to instruct others in the implementation of therapeutic and behavioral interventions and procedures.
- Maintain a professional demeanor to clients, staff, and external parties.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human service field required.
- Two years of professional experience in providing services to youth with behaviors required; internship experience applies to the requirement.
- Preferred specialties include trauma-informed care and child welfare.
