A Kid’s Place is currently recruiting for a full-time Unit Supervisor ll. This position is responsible for the daily operations of two residential homes. This includes the coordination of assessments and linkages with community services for individuals admitted to A Kid’s Place. Duties will also include social interaction with the children, young adults, and staff to facilitate their growth opportunities.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30a-4:30p, flexible when needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct Care staff
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive new intakes and confirm with the Program Director.
- Available for on-call rotation for new intakes.
- Complete assessments and develop a Service Plan for each individual placed at A Kid’s Place.
- Work with Direct Care staff, external parties, and the individual to address Service Plan goals.
- Attend all necessary staffing meetings and coordinate all assessments and evaluations from community providers. This will be done in conjunction with the placing entity, legal guardian(s), and others involved in the case.
- Maintain a case file for each individual on the caseload to include all assessments, evaluations, service plans, notes, etc. in the designated order per the case file table of contents.
- Provide any necessary reporting requested by CEO, Program Director, lead agency, service provider, etc. to maintain continuity of care for individuals in placement.
- Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all weekly/monthly required documentation.
- Maintain a safe, trauma-informed, and clean environment for individuals placed at A Kid’s Place and staff by ensuring the adherence to program policies and legal regulations.
- Assist in maintaining legal ratios for the houses including, but not limited to: assisting with transportation, and covering the houses when needed, etc.
- Responsible for training, counseling, evaluating, and delivering performance evaluations to employees.
- Other duties assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to pass a Level 2 FDLE background screen, drug screen, and local background screen upon initial hire and annually thereafter.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for acceptance by the company’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound, effective decisions during stressful situations.
- Reliable in arriving on time and ready to perform job duties, with flexibility to work all assigned shifts and hours.
- Maintain a professional demeanor to clients, staff, and external parties.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or in a related area of study and two years of experience working with children; or
- Two years of college and three years of experience working with children; or
- Five years of experience working in child welfare without a post-secondary degree required.
- Two years of supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles of Trauma Informed Care is preferred.
