Position Overview: The Event Parking Staff will be responsible for managing parking operations during events. This role involves directing vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient parking, providing guests with information, and ensuring the lot is orderly and secure. The ideal candidate should be professional, courteous, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parking Management: Direct vehicles to available parking spots in a safe and organized manner, ensuring efficient flow of traffic.
- Guest Assistance: Provide courteous and helpful service to guests, answering questions about parking, directions, and event logistics.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure all parking regulations and safety protocols are followed, including maintaining clear access routes for emergency vehicles.
- Lot Maintenance: Regularly inspect the parking lot for any hazards or issues that could disrupt the flow of traffic or the safety of guests.
- Communication: Collaborate with other event staff to ensure seamless parking and traffic flow, including coordination with security and event planners.
- Traffic Control: Direct vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot to minimize congestion and ensure a smooth experience for guests.
- Reporting: Report any issues, accidents, or damage to vehicles or property immediately to the supervisor.
- Customer Service: Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with guests, addressing concerns, and ensuring they have a pleasant parking experience.
- Event Setup and Teardown: Assist with setting up parking signs, cones, barriers, and other equipment before events and removing them after the event concludes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in event parking or customer service is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Valid driver’s license may be required, depending on specific duties.
- Must pass background check if required.
Working Conditions:
- Event Parking Staff will be required to work outdoors and will be exposed to various weather conditions.
- Some positions may require lifting or carrying items such as cones, signs, or barriers.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
Compensation:
